Hot dogs in Donald

4 October 2010 | Category: Stories | Author: Clare

This Sunday, from about 4pm on, I will down tools and hang out with friends and family to toast to the cabin.

To grin at the education sitting there on it's sonotubes, and think about the great times that I have had getting this far.

Not only are my parents on Canadian soil right now, but I will also turn 30 at midnight.

The old freezer that has found a home in Donald will finally be gainfully employed as a beer cooler, and I will have a bonfire ready to light up in the evening, weather permitting. There will be hot dogs, munchies, and maybe even some British chocolate (if I manage not to eat it all before then).

For those of you able to drive down to Donald on Sunday (October 3rd) to check out the cabin and have a beer, I would love to see you. There is floor space, truck space and RV space for those of you who will need a place to stay – to avoid any dodgy driving on the way back to town!

Friends, family and of course dogs, are all more than welcome.

For those of you who cannot make it, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for being a part of this journey.

Each one of you guys has inspired me in your own way, and knowingly or not, kept me plugging along when I was struggling to find the heart to continue.
